Lectures

The attorneys of Baker, Cronogue, Tolle & Werfel actively serve as instructors and lecturers for courses given at the college and graduate school level and at professional seminars on subjects within areas of their expertise. Members of the firm have taught courses or seminars in Government contracts for the University of Virginia, Federal Publications and a variety of professional and service organizations including the American Bar Association's Public Contract Section, AFCEA, Associated Builders and Contractors, Aspen Construction Conference, Federal Bar Association's Government Contract Section, IAC, NCMA, NVTC, and the Boards of Contract Appeals Administrative Judges Conference.

In addition to teaching for established university programs and professional seminars, Baker, Cronogue, Tolle & Werfel attorneys prepare and deliver "private" seminars on topics of special interest to their clients and service organizations. For example, members of the firm have taught business roundtable discussions and company seminars on subjects such as bid protests; the Cost Accounting Standards; fraud, waste and abuse; claims for equitable adjustment; contract changes and delays; negotiated procurements, rights in technical data and computer software; software licensing; as well as teaming agreements and subcontracts. These seminars can be very effective tools for companies that want to raise the level of awareness and understanding among their managers and employees to avert potential problems.
